This week in LEAP we have been doing lots of fun things. On Monday we made our own maps of Struay.
Tuesday we designed our own tartan and did some amazing writing about how we made them.
Wednesday was started with our relaxation session and got us ready to do some excellent rods learning.
Thursday we made bird feeders from yoghurt pots and hung them from the branches in our Nature garden. The greedy Magpie got there first !
Friday was extra special as we went along to support Macmillan coffee morning.
Wow what an amazing journey we had this week.

Wow what a busy time we are having in LEAP at the moment in the run up to Christmas. Not long to go now . The children are all so excited. We have been learning about what it would be like to spend Christmas, on an island like Struay. In Maths we have been looking at problem solving and bridge building, such an amazing effort ! We also looked at different textures and made our own sensory board.

In LEAP the children have been looking at ways to keep their brain healthy. They understood that as well as looking after our bodies, it is important to look after our brains too. The children found lots of different ways to achieve this and shared them with their friends and family.
Remember……. a healthy mind is a happy mind!
Our new topic in LEAP this term is all about The Wizard of OZ. We will be taking a magical journey with some new characters and finding out lots and lots of new and interesting facts. We will be writing, creating, singing, acting, building and having FUN !
Linking into our new topic The Wizard of Oz we were discussing gravity and cyclones and decided to experiment with a tub of water. LEAP predicted they would all get wet ! That was not the case . No one got wet when conducting this experiment.
